The MAST Travel Network announced the launch of its Consumer Awareness and P.R. Campaign at its recent 25th annual conference, held at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, Va.
More than 290 members and suppliers attended MAST Awards Night, Thursday, March 10 at the Drake Hotel Oak Brook, Illinois. 139 awards were presented in seven categories to 64 agencies and 9 preferred suppliers.
In 2014, burdened by increasing annual supplier minimums and growing marketing costs at the national co-op to which they belonged, Dennis and Claire Sanchez decided they wanted to take their boutique San Francisco-based agency, SailAway Cruises and Land Vacations, in a different direction.
MAST’s annual fall product launch and trade show Nov. 17 is expected to break last year’s record in attendance with more travel agent members, more exhibitors, more seminars, and more speakers. Over 350 agents and over 100 exhibitors will be on hand. MAST Sales Sensation is the third largest travel industry event in the Midwest.

Travel agency consortium MAST Travel Network has renewed its agreement to subsidize dues payments for members that join ASTA.
The deal, which lasts for two years, allows MAST network agencies with annual revenues of less than $5 million to join ASTA for $149 per year. MAST agencies with revenue of more than $5 million will pay annual dues of $249.
