We planned a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico, for a group to experience the festival of La Gueleguetza. This annual festival runs for two weeks in late July and is a celebration of color, music, culture, dance, food and tours.
While in Oaxaca, the group toured the pyramids at the archaeological site of Monte Alban, enjoyed fabulous shopping in the markets, and feasted on the traditional moles made famous in Oaxaca. My recommendation is to start the trip in Oaxaca City staying four nights.
Then travel by air to Huatulco on the Pacific Ocean to spend the rest of your vacation to relax on the gorgeous beaches and secluded bays along the coast in the state of Oaxaca.
